Stuart Addison is the man behind the food and he's good at what he does. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed, both Stuart and Neil (the winemaker) are approachable and happy to have a bit of a chat - when they aren't run off their feet.
You know you're in for a treat when there is a wood fired oven!
Their wines range from $20 to $35 per bottle. You also get beautiful glassware to accompany the lovely wines. This One Girl, her Mother Dear and She's-part-of-the-family-now-and-forever-friend enjoyed a few glasses of their bubbles.
What the gang of three ate:
Valencia - chorizo, smoked seafish, capsicum and herbs. Stuart normally makes his own chorizo but on this occasion, had sold out at Mona the day before.
Cauliflower fresh from the garden that morning, with parsley and rosemary. A taste sensation!
The relaxed gang of three then took a stroll around the vineyard to make room for something sweet. The vineyard is located in Winstead Road, Bagdad, a secluded place away from the noise of the highway and has beautiful views of the surrounding hills.
Then came the dessert pizza! It was beautiful sweet with the perfect touch of cinnamon, thinly sliced pears, yoghurt and a lovely syrup drizzled all over it.
It was a great way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon and the Two Girls are keen to see what delights Stuart has to tempt us on this Sunday.
How will you be spending your Sunday afternoon?
